Eagle works closely with our vast install base to constantly add and improve our data collection and labelling functionality. In previous newsletters, we have discussed the Eagle CTP (Continuous Transaction Processor) functionality that can accept data from shop floor equipment (ie logic controller/process machinery) to automatically execute inventory, labor, and production transactions. Recently, we worked with a Honda supplier to expand CTP to accept shop floor data automatically and produce the proper Honda label automatically. The improvement increases accuracy while decreasing transaction effort.
Eagle’s newest enterprise edition release supports QAD Production Order functionality. While supporting Production Orders, Eagle has maintained all existing RF Express functionality including FIFO component consumption, Kanban, containerization, and the robust, standard label formats/label variables. The Eagle production reporting is coupled with the existing 250+ transactions/functions, RFID integration, Continuous Transaction Processor (CTP) plant equipment integration, and unit serial track and trace (UNT) to provide global, proven Industry 4.0 data collection that works. All of this transaction capability is delivered via Eagle’s elegant, award-winning .NET, Apple iOS, and Android user interface options. The Eagle solution has been helping companies transact inventory, production, and shipping via wireless data collection terminals in true, real-time for over 25 years.
Eagle’s multi-user RF Sales Order Pick has evolved to become RF Order Pick ‘OPK’. RF Order Pick support Sales Order and Distribution Order picking in a single combined transaction. OPK continues to support true multiple user picking on the same order line with full picklist requirement vs. pick validation. Overpicks are prevented even with multiple users simultaneously picking the same order line. Users are able to seamlessly pick either full pallets or non-palletized open stock inventory. During the pick process non-palletized inventory can be easily palletized on-the-fly based upon shipping unit requirements. OPK is ideal for warehouse operations that ship a mix of Sales and Distribution Orders. Users no longer have to navigate to a specific transaction based on order type.
The Continuous Transaction Processor (CTP) has been enabling Industry 4.0 at Eagle sites for several years. CTP is Eagle’s automated transaction engine providing real-time inventory and production posting to Eagle/QAD. Recent rollouts have featured fully automated Backflush, Kanban Backflush, Scrap, Transfer, and Purchase Order Receipt transactions. Data input sources for the CTP include Machines, PLC’s, RFID, and Automated Work Cells. CTP updates happen seamlessly without any manual user input. A new bi-directional webservice option is now available to return data from CTP.
CTP currently includes a library of over 20 popular inventory/production reporting transactions that manufactures need to automate. With CTP, you get the best of Eagle’s highly configurable, reliable, real-time transaction updating and label generation with data sent directly by shop floor equipment. Available on all versions SE and EE.
Eagle’s Toyota TSCS Transaction ‘Bolt-On’ has been approved by Toyota. This functionality is now available for implementation. Newly created RF transactions build Toyota Pallets by scanning internal Container labels, Toyota One-Way Kanban (OWK) labels, and Toyota Skid labels. Toyota OWK labels and Toyota Skid labels are still printed from the Toyota Supplier Portal. Those labels are then scanned within the appropriate Eagle transactions. Designated Skid exception codes can also be applied to the records. The collected Skid information is then verified through a real-time call from the Eagle transaction to Toyota’s verification webservice. The user receives a Skid confirmation message within the transaction when webservice edits are successfully completed. New Toyota ‘Bolt-On’ logic in the RF Load Truck gathers required trailer level details to perform a two-way Shipment Confirmation with Toyota’s verification webservice. The transaction allows entry of Skid and/or Shipment level Toyota Exceptions. .
